Hair, beard, and mustache 2021: this will set the trend in men’s style

If 2020 was an atypical year, from which we still feel its memories. 2021 will also show how it influenced all aspects of life, among them, our hairstyle, beard, and mustache.

Although every year we expect the trends that will define the next 12 months; 2021 changed based on the needs, desires, and comforts of people.

Hair: take risks (whatever that means for you)

Some may have always wanted to have long hair, but social standards win, or others thought that if they shaved their beards, they would have the face of a teenager. Short hair

Buzzcut

Simple and needs little maintenance. Forget combing it for several weeks, and even if it grows a couple of inches still looks great.

Fade

Neither long nor short, this haircut has different levels and never goes out of style. Its characteristic is in its name: faded. On top of the head, you have hair as long as you want. The sides are lowered or faded, supported by the number of cutting guides.

Long hair

If you’re one of those who want to let your ideas and hair flow, there are two styles with long hair that we’ll be seeing throughout 2021:

Long with a narrow shaved or faded line

Although it looks like the mohawk cut, the big difference is that the area to be shaved or faded is much narrower. This area runs from the right temple, across the bottom of the head, to the left temple. Forget your worries when tying it up and gives a more aesthetic and careful image to your look.

Nature rules

If there is one thing we learned during 2020, it is that sometimes you have to go back to the basics: comfort. We will see many men with long and free hair, not giving much importance to style (in appearance), showing practicality and comfort. Keep in mind that this does not mean leaving it without care: washing it with appropriate shampoos and free of sulfates and other chemicals, and periodically cut is very important.

Beard and mustache: fashion is dead, long life to fashion

Boxed beard

This beard style is a neat and elegant version of the full beard, characterized by its short and well-defined contours. It is important to trim it periodically because if you don’t, get out of control and lose its defined shape.

Anchor beard

Yes, its name comes because the figure resembles an anchor; this style requires you to shave your sideburns, grow a beard in the chin area and chin hollow, preferably well delineated, which will connect with a pencil mustache.

Full beard

The father of all beards. Letting it grow naturally and without controlling its direction will be a trend; the COVID 19 left us several teachings, and one of them was to enjoy looking just the way you like it, if that means giving a freer and sloppier touch to your beard, so be it.

3-day beard

If you’re not into the whole beard thing, but you like the casual style of facial hair, this beard style is for you. It’s easy to maintain and fits all face types.

Eyebrows: the plus of a style expert

Sergio share with us a little advice for this area that we rarely take into consideration:
“Eyebrows are very relevant for our face harmonization, so I think that going in the opposite direction to the natural in its growth will make it uncomfortable for someone who is looking for personal image care. My best advice would be to start little by little, following the guidelines of an expert. Looking for an ideal design according to your features, but that makes you feel secure facing the world and the image you look at every morning”.
