The second SILATC Congress 2018

Last May 2 and 3 the Iberian Latin American Society for Hair Transplant (SILATC) celebrated its Second Congress in the city of Cancun. 

The event gathered doctors and surgeons from around the world to promote the exchange of ideas, knowledge and experiences regarding hair loss and transplant topics. The inauguration took place at the Intercontinental President Hotel and addressed hair loss issues for the purpose of raising surgical ability and expertise to a higher level. Among the day’s important themes were opportune hair loss diagnosis, medical treatments, micro graft extraction techniques, tips for improvements in results; hair implanting in scars, micro pigmenting the scalp and even wig use as an alternative solution. 

The second and last day the members moved to our clinic in Cancun, since it was chosen as the official headqu arters for the event. During the day, we had in use our four operating rooms in which different teams of surgeons discussed and demonstrated different hair restoration cases including each one’s pros and cons, side effects and complications. 

We’re proud to have formed part of such a great event and we’re sure we’ll continue fostering the exchange of knowledge to benefit our patients and to bring our procedures and results to a higher level.
